Graduate Engineer – Highways
Job Description
Job Summary
The Graduate Highways Engineer shall be literate in Road design software including AutoCad and Civil3D, and shall have the following skills:
- Be able to assist the senior engineers in preparing a of scope of works documents and projects design criteria.
- Be able to understand and apply the QA/QC checking procedures as per company policy to ensure sound and coordinated design both internally and across other disciplines.
- Has the basic experience and understanding in the design of Roads (plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections and signage).
- Demonstrate excellent working knowledge in the preparation of Power Point presentations and progress reports.
- Possesses sound communication and writing skills along with preparing technical reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of Roads design software.
- Understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice and local authority guidelines is a plus.
- Consultancy road design internship is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, with a Master's Degree in Roads related major is a plus.
- Must be a 2021 graduate or graduating no later than Sept 2022
- Successful applicants must have a 3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above
