Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Avionics Technician to support the E3 AWACS Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
This is a Long Term Assignment to Riyadh Saudi Arabia (Prince Sultan Air Base). Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Performs the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes.

Conducts troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural components and systems.

Ensures validation/verification of testing systems and components.

Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).

Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft.

Provides Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS) certification to government personnel.

Works under minimal supervision.

Applies professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals.

Performs all maintenance action IAW local publication series processes and procedures.

Identifies material and special tools needs to accomplish daily work assignment.

May be required to support detachments away from Main Operating Base (MOB).

At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.

This position requires the ability to travel for temporary assignments to Other AWACS locations in country for up to 8 week’s duration to support the customer

*This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Minimum 3 years' experience working with avionics components or subsystems

Minimum of 3 years' experience in any military aircraft maintenance

Capable of traveling domestically
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

4 years or more experience supporting a 707 and USAF maintenance organization.

Experience working with U. S. Air Force Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS).

Experience supporting a maintenance organization.

Previous experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes is desirable
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.

Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.

Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.

Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate .
RELOCATION:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Domestic Temporary Assignment benefits will be applicable upon hire.
