Detailed Job Description
- Promoting and participating in the multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment/care Programs.
- Ensuring good communication with relatives and other visitors.
- Liaising with outside agencies as necessary.
- Bringing any ideas for initiatives / innovations to improve services to the attention of The Service Manager and Team Leader, and if agreed to assist in implementing them.
- Administration of psychotropic medication for mental health clinics in Azraq camp, ensuring compliance with approved international medical corps (IMC) polices, and procedures.
- To assist in monitoring and supervision of caseloads for mental health case manager.
- Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment.
- Working with patients' families and cares, helping to educate them and the patient about their mental health problems.
- Visiting patients in their home to monitor progress and carrying out risk assessments with regard to their safety and welfare.
- Identifying whether and when patients are at risk of harming themselves or others.
- Preparing and maintaining patient records and producing care plans and risk assessments.
- Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress.
- Controls medications by monitoring monthly consumption, and advising intervention.
- Prepare medication order, and perform the monthly inventory.
