Detailed Job Description

  1. Promoting and participating in the multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment/care Programs.
  2. Ensuring good communication with relatives and other visitors.
  3. Liaising with outside agencies as necessary.
  4. Bringing any ideas for initiatives / innovations to improve services to the attention of The Service Manager and Team Leader, and if agreed to assist in implementing them.
  5. Administration of psychotropic medication for mental health clinics in Azraq camp, ensuring compliance with approved international medical corps (IMC) polices, and procedures.
  6. To assist in monitoring and supervision of caseloads for mental health case manager.
  7. Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment.
  8. Working with patients' families and cares, helping to educate them and the patient about their mental health problems.
  9. Visiting patients in their home to monitor progress and carrying out risk assessments with regard to their safety and welfare.
  10. Identifying whether and when patients are at risk of harming themselves or others.
  11. Preparing and maintaining patient records and producing care plans and risk assessments.
  12. Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress.
  13. Controls medications by monitoring monthly consumption, and advising intervention.
  14. Prepare medication order, and perform the monthly inventory.
