Temporary Early Years Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About The Role

We are looking to recruit a temporary Early Years Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our GEMS Wellington School, Doha. GEMS Wellington is a premium school in the Doha market and opened in October 2015. We aim to ensure that every student is inspired and supported to achieve their personal best in a creative and enterprising culture where learning comes first. Through the development of our core values, known as our PEARLS we encourage the students to become committed, optimistic, resourceful and enterprising life-long learners. The post will be full time, fixed term to cover maternity leave, commencing on 1st October 2022 through to March 2023. Further opportunities may arise following this period if mutually agreeable by both parties.

The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher, excited to join our world class school and driven to provide education at an exceptional level. They will have a strong knowledge of early years practice and ideally the English curriculum.

Can be part of a team of inspirational teachers, working effectively alongside other colleagues
Has a passion for high-quality teaching and learning
Has the ability to challenge and inspire children through a creative and stimulating curriculum, ensuring they make good progress
Has an excellent working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
Has excellent communication skills leading to effective relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Can plan stimulating and challenging experiences including adult directed and continuous provision
Are committed to ensuring excellence, inclusion and high expectations
Fully contribute to the wider life of the school and extracurricular activities

GEMS Wellington School, Qatar require all applicants to be eligible to work in Qatar with no restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas for this temporary position. You will be required to provide proof of Right to Work at interview stage.

Requirements:

A certified teaching qualification and an accompanying degree such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialising in Early Years/Primary Years
A minimum 2 years of demonstrable early years teaching experience, ideally at a British Curriculum School
Confidence in teaching the EYFS British Curriculum
The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning
