JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
.Responsible for administering therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation using advanced level linear accelerators treatment units and record and verify treatment software preferably experienced in Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators.
.Simulating patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of radiation oncologists.
.Has experience in performs complex patient procedures including:
oIntensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
oVolumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT)
oStereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
oStereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT)
ofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (FSRT)
oAdvanced use of the ARIA electronic radiation oncology software
oRespiratory management
oTreatments with dynamic wedge
oCone beam CT imaging (CBCT)
oTotal body irradiation
oComplex tumor localization and tracking procedures.
oOperating radiographic equipment in the special procedures suites
oMold room experience
Job Requirements
Education:
- Minimum : Graduate from a School of Radiation Therapy Technology
- Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology
Work Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
