Our client is a well-known Luxury lounge for an Aviation company. The company has more than 600 employees in a vast number of divisions and departments. They are currently looking for a Director – Food & Beverage to be based in Bahrain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Hospitality leadership of the lounge team
- Model the hospitality initiatives of the lounge
- Ensure F & B exceeds guest expectations
- Empowers a customer happiness, revenue driven and cost conscious focus
- Maintains lounge appearance and functionality to world class
- Inspires colleagues to deliver world class service
- Maintain a focus on the company's hospitality brand and hospitality pillars
- Ensure regular training (at a minimum once per month) engages all with the hospitality ethos and hospitality pillars
- Ensure new hires receive a quality on boarding experience, great training and positive coaching from the lounge leaders
- Liaises with airline and airport counterparts to be fully aware of guest feedback and quality of guest satisfaction
- Provide inspiring guidance to the lounge team to enhance and influence the overall guest experience
- In partnership with the head chef continually evaluate and develop new food and beverage concepts and menus
- Install a culture of openness where problems and frustrations are discussed and resolved at all levels
- Inspects lounge cleanliness and janitorial standards with the House Keeper
- Ensure all operational standards are met in regard to sanitation codes and relevant laws, food storage, food safety, fire regulations, health & safety, and loss prevention
- Make safety everyone's responsibility. Regularly bring to front of mind issues of guest safety, colleague's safety and your own safety
- Ensure security protocols are maintained and effective
- Analyze F&B cost-performance and staff costs and determine appropriate actions to maintain/ improve standards and cost management
- Liaise with procurement in the negotiation and implementation of all lounge contracts and the relationship with vendors
Qualification & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality & hotel management or food service management
- 3 years minimum work experience within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurants or lounge operations.
- Must have experience in leading large teams with financial and management responsibilities
- Must have excellent English language communication skills and both verbal and written presentation technique.
- Proficient in Computers and related programs (Word, MS Office, Excel)
