CoreCurriculum Program (CCP)
The Core Curriculum courses provide a broadexposure to multidiscipline areas such as social &behavioral sciences,humanities/fine arts, natural sciences and mathematics that all undergraduatestudents are compulsory to take while pursuing their degrees in the University.
The Core Curriculum Program (CCP) provides anintegrative approach to Core Curriculum Education. The Program providesopportunities for students to synthe knowledge, promotes a deeperunderstanding of self in the context of Qatar society, and fosters a broaderunderstanding of the global environment in respond to the demands of the 21stCentury. Through the CCP, QU students will be well-prepared to pursuit a careerin their chosen disciplines and be engaged citizens in both the local andglobal communities.
The Core Curriculum Program seeks to recruitfull-time faculty to teach Innovation, Leadership and Civic Engagement (UNIV200) course. The UNIV 200 is an interdisciplinary course designed to explorethe concepts of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership. It is todevelop students predispositions for engaged citizenship and understanding oftheir role in the community. It aims to develop student's innovation,problem-solving, leadership, entrepreneurial thinking skills to address issuesin the community. It focuses on contemporary issues locally, regionally andglobally through interactive lectures, active discussions, case studies,videos, and guest speakers.
During the course journey, students will getexposed to Qatar's sustainable development goals, realize the value of civicengagement, its importance, the challenges facing the community and understandtheir role in the community. They will learn to be change agents. Specifically,students will participate in community service activities and workcollaboratively on a current, local issue in order to gain greater insight intothe key challenges their communities face and develop creative approaches tohelp address them. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the latest3D Design & Printing technology to design and print out their entrepreneurialproject model, which will contribute to the development of their innovationcapabilities and competence in digital technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Faculty members are expected to provide up-to-date reports involving teaching activities and student advising assigned by the department
2. Teach Innovation, Leadership and Civic Engagement Course (UNIV200) course
3. Deliver inspiringteaching in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership andcivic engagement, using innovative and engaging teaching and learning approaches.
3. Lead pedagogical thinking, develop and improve course curriculum, materials and resources,
5. Faculty members will be responsible for course development and participate in curriculum and program development
6. Meet all instructional and advising responsibilities as specified in the policies and procedures(refer to Part-4 within this handbook)
7. Participate in scholarly and research activities, which enhance their professional development andcontribute to their discipline
8. Serve as appropriatein the department, college and university committees
9. Provide professionalservices to the University and community

6. Copy of highest earned credential (transcript of highest degreeif graduated from an institution where course work was completed. However, if no course work was completed, a copy of certificate letter from the registrarof your highest credential granting institution regarding your highestacademic degree).
7. Any additional documentation that you feel is relevant to yourapplication.
