Job Description
Job Summary
To undertake cost management at both the pre and post contract stages. Ensuring project costs, budgets and cash flow compliance, all within Company and Client Protocols and Procedures. With a focus on various building asset types.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Actively assisting client engagement across the portfolio of projects
- Prepare cost options studies for a variety of building assets
- Contribute to and produce cost estimates from conceptual sketches, descriptive narrative and other drawings and specifications, able to make reasonable technical assumptions.
- Preparation of measurement and take off quantities for use in various stages of the project from procurement to variation assessment and peer reviews
- Accountable for a variety of complex deliverables throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects, ensure projects remain on budget as the primary project cost controller.
- Take part in project team briefings on scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood
- Preparation of earned value reports
- Prepare, review and update cash-flows
- Responsible for assessing the value of progress payments and change requests for contractors and consultants and making recommendations to clients.
- Contributions to RFP documentation and management of procurement process
- Tender document preparation
- Tender review and reconciliation
- Participate and evaluate value engineering solutions
- Working knowledge of industry recognized Contract forms (FIDIC) and standard methods of measurement including CESMM, POMI, NRM.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 year's experience in the industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and/or Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University.
- As a minimum actively working towards MRICS or equivalent accreditation.
