About the Job:

The candidate will be responsible for facilitating the lab services, coordinating activities and workshops (Digital Fabrication, creative programming, software, hardware, graphics and product design, etc), as well as operating the machines (3d printers, laser cut, milling machine,…) and being responsible of the implementations of the protocols for use, maintenance and security of the inventory of the lab. This is a full time job and candidate is expected to work in shifts.

About the candidate:

We’re looking for a person who can work in a multidisciplinary environment and who is naturally curious and has a strong interest in creative fields, including technical/science/engineering and liberal arts/design/etc. The candidate shall be proactive, pleasant character, a natural leader, open to learning and able to work independently.

المهارات

Desired Background:

One of the following: Engineering, Creative Programming, Electronics, Architecture, Product Design, Interaction Design, etc.
Recent Graduate with few months experience from colleges that have Design/Engineering related programs.
Basic experience in digital fabrication tools and techniques is desirable.
Basic knowledge in designing tools.
Exhibiting the knowledge in designing and fabricating through final year project or personal projects created by the candidates.
Bilingual, Fluent in Arabic.
Nationality: Emirati preferred.

Key Competencies:

Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and oral communication skills, are essential for this position.
Experience in teaching and/or demonstration of science and technology, especially in a community environment.
Ideal candidate should have been actively engaged in student chapters/ clubs or communities related to design, tech or science. Eg. Leading a tech-based club at college, taking part in tech- based competitions, etc.
Autonomous, able to take on responsibilities and work with the team at lab efficiently.
Interest in Creative fields such as Art, Design and Technology.
Willing to learn, be motivated, enthusiastic and social.
