TERMS AND CONDITIONS

JOB PURPOSE

At this level work is carried out under minimum supervision. The job holders are expected to produce organized and accurate technical work and reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Regular field visits in the villages where WFP is implementing the FFA/livelihoods activities, in close collaboration with the cooperating partner.
2. Validation of selected beneficiaries, verification of communal schemes at field level
3. Activity Implementation Monitoring: To ensure planned activities have been executed as per the agreed implementation plan.
4. Distribution Monitoring: To ensure that assisted population is receiving its full entitlements in a transparent and dignified manner.
5. Post-Distribution Monitoring: Data collection from household level from the assisted population as per the WFP standard checklists to assess how WFP provided assistance is utilized and how WFP support is helping communities to cover their food security needs, and helping to mitigate the disasters at local levels.
6. Perform purposive monitoring visits to follow-up on critical issues surfaced through internal and external sources.
7. Ensure inquiry into CFM complaints through field visits or follow-up with the cooperating partner as per task assigned by supervisor.
8. Collate assistance programme(s) data in accordance with clear direction, in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
9. Liaise with cooperating partners, district authorities and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.
10. Ensure activity progress is as per technical advice from CO and PO and keep track of beneficiary attendance and dropouts if any
11. To support social mobilisation and keep beneficiaries engaged and support and participate in various sensitisation activities
12. Follow up on action points related to partner performance assessment
13. Provide guidance to cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods in order to support them to complete self-monitoring tasks and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas
14. Represent WFP at district level coordination foram and accordingly keep WFP provincial office updated
15. Regularly uploading monitoring checklists to the WFP online M&E system.
16. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor to complement the above.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of higher secondary school education.Completion of higher secondary school education. Completion of bachelor's degree is desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

Four years of experience in the relevant field is desirable

Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in the usage of ICT applications and software on mobile devices and computers.

Data collection & analysing skills.

Data base management. Development of data & monitoring tools.
