Manager/Section Head Social Development Department

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Department and the rest of the members of the Department
  • Set priorities and implement general office strategy
  • prepare reports as required
  • Draft correspondence in Arabic and English
  • Follow-up with other departments on various projects, initiatives and requests
  • Research across the board

Specific tasks:

  • Prioritize work load and manage two junior team members
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate follow-up on specific projects and events
  • Follow up with concerned official parties on the principle's directives on field visits to governates.
  • Maintain files, both paper and electronic, for the Department
  • Maintain a record of all incoming requests and invitations
  • Respond to incoming requests for assistance verbally and/or in writing as instructed by the Head of Department
  • Track all incoming requests for assistance and follow-up on their status
  • Keep records and undertake tracking of correspondence generated by the Department
  • Take minutes of meetings in coordination with the Head of Department
  • Devise systems and methods to organize and streamline the Department’s efficiency

Education and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field
  • High degree of mastery of written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Full ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (all windows operating systems) and databases
  • Excellent communication skills
