SAIC is currently looking to hire a Software Engineer to join the STARS team located in Huntsville, AL!

Program Info:

The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements & Simulation (STARS) Project provides the Missile Defense Agency Sensors Directorate independent engineering, operations and acquisition support across the entire sensor life-cycle.

Responsibilities Include:

Candidate will be responsible for development of software for radar systems
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software
Ensures software standards are met
Candidate will participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews; technical interchange meetings, and other management meetings as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and zero (0) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance:

Must have an Interim Secret to start with the ability to obtain a full Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Skills:

Interested in tight loop, high bandwidth, pseudo real-time, performance focused software development
Modern C++ experience
Linux development experience
Senior level software engineering experience with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision
Self-driven, customer focused performer
Multithreaded, multi-core development experience strongly preferred

Desired Skills:

Ada experience a plus
Radar experience a plus
Git, GNU Make, Intel MKL, GPU development, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Python experience a plus

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
