Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Country Finance Manager, the primary responsibility of the Sr. Finance Officer is supervision of Partner’s accounts, RI cash and bank management, preparation of reconciliations, processing of payments, ensuring cash reserves are available in country to process payments on time, submission of request for funds to GSO, ensure robust filling system is in place to be audit ready and assist in accurate accounting and reporting process with a special focus on compliance with the Jordanian accountancy, Tax and SGK legislation in Jordan
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Posting daily transactions into accounting software NetSuite • Ensure proper booking, accounting procedures and principles are followed • Managing all Accounts Receivable/Payable, Prepaid Accounts, and Accruals • Ensure proper usage of Balance sheet accounts with regular monthly follow up • Ensure cash and bank reconciliations are done before closing the month • Managing monthly average exchange rate calculation and following up balances in TL and foreign currency • Review HR payroll data and prepare staff payroll and incentives on monthly basis • Review AP data and prepare weekly and monthly supplier payments • Assist reviewing, scanning, and filing activities are done complete • Assist following monthly, bi-monthly, and annual reports are prepared and regularly reconciled • Assist preparation of monthly withholding tax returns, stamp tax returns and social security returns • Supervise the U-wallet accounts and reconcile balances on monthly basis

- Work collaboratively with the Global Safeguarding Manager to advocate for the inclusion of safeguarding activities and resources within program
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of donor requirements of safeguarding standards and protection from exploitation and abuse
Program teams:
- Ensure program design adequately addresses safeguarding and protection standards
Managers level and above:
- Ensure a positive and productive work environment which is free from harassment and bullying
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of diversity and cultural differences, gender issues and the commitment to equal opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another relevant field
- Minimum 5 years solid experience in accounting preferably 3years in similar role
- Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment and to multi-task to meet deadlines
- Promotes teamwork, contributes towards building team consensus and acts as a team player
- • Consistently approach work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
- Demonstrates ability to identify problems
- Makes recommendations related to work procedures and implementation of management syst
- Strong leadership ability and interpersonal skills and the ability to train and motivate others is a must as are outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Native Arabic speaker, fluent in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
