Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Oversees all operational aspects related to a major geographical region (e.g. Central Region, Western Region, Eastern Region) or to a category of services within Catering (food or non-food) Provides technical input for the preparation of tender packages
  2. Accountable for delivering all catering projects in his scope of responsibility within the agreed budget and minimizing deviations from the Catering Division's efficiency standards
  3. Accountable for the optimization of resources (financial, human, equipment, etc.) within his scope of responsibility
  4. Accountable for the provision of active support to the Operations Management team during project launch planning, including the provision of project launch training to project staff
  5. Monitors the operational performance (budget control, production efficiency, quality, receivables) of all projects within his scope of responsibility, and advises the Operations Management team on improvement opportunities (including staff allocation, menu engineering, procurement strategy, etc.)
  6. Monitors customer's satisfaction from Project Managers and Area Management (including satisfaction from the change order management process) and is actively involved in and follows up on the management of all complaints filed by customers
  7. Provides operational support to Area Management during the execution of the projects
  8. Promotes cross fertilization across the Operations team, and ensures that best practices identified across projects and Area Offices are institutionalized and implemented
  9. Assists the Operations Department Manager in identifying and tracking the business development and cost control KPls and in devising plans and initiatives for improving operations
  10. Provides support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports staff and managers

المهارات

Position Requirements – Education, Experience & Competencies:

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality management or business administration.
  • Courses in business, hospitality, food service and management are plus
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position
  • Proven track record in a similar environment.
  • Proven experience within a high volume catering environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with Customers, Client, Colleagues and Team Members
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Strong financial understanding and demonstrable budgetary control and results orientated.
  • Experienced leader with excellent people skills and positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and innovative.
  • Resourcefulness (capable of taking the initiative and overcoming challenges)
