Company Description

The Senior Executive will operate across two key verticals: Qualitative Research & Social Listening. Within Qualitative Research, the talent will be involved in end-to-end primary qualitative research projects under the guidance of the Qualitative Research Manager. This includes DG development, sample design, fieldwork observation & quality control, content analysis, report development and integrating qualitative research with different data sources when required. Within Social Listening, the talent will lead in designing, conducting and delivering standard and custom social listening insights reports under the guidance of the Research Manager. The talent will translate briefs into well thought out constructed queries that will monitor social conversations for brands, categories, products, marketing campaigns, events across clients and internal stakeholders. Across both verticals, diving deep into the data to uncover insights and translating the data into a compelling story would be a key skillset the talent will have.

Job Description

· Build custom Qualitative Research & Social Listening proposals, execute projects end-to-end, confidently manage client/stakeholder conversations and confidently present the findings to clients & stakeholders. Prior experience of independently managing end-to-end projects would be a plus.

· Create custom qualitative discussion guides that align with project objectives & keeping in mind market nuances.

· Observe qualitative fieldwork, maintain quality control measures and probe on key areas of interest in real-time.

· Conduct thorough analysis of qualitative findings to develop a comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand.

· Building Boolean queries as well as cleaning, extracting and analyzing data. Prior experience in building effective and well thought out Boolean queries for social listening would be a plus.

· Social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters and dashboards. Become a proficient user of the social listening tool used by the groupe (Netbase). Prior experience with Netbase would be a plus.

· Good understanding of social performance metrics and their use in providing input into business planning/decisions.

· Pull and interpret data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.

· Create and edit reporting deliverables (be it PowerPoint, Newsletter, Excel formats) that transform data into a clear and engaging story. Visualize findings legibly and attractively using charts, tables, infographics, or other methods. Very important to ensure that reporting maintains a storytelling format with a clear and appealing flow. Provide actionable insights based on concrete data. Prior experience developing engaging insights-heavy reports would be an advantage.

· Support in growing the Qualitative & Social Listening vertical by holistic integration of other research techniques, social analytics and driving higher revenue through client relationship management and effective business development.

· Recommend critically thought engagement strategies with audiences based on data-driven social/cultural insights.

· Be curious and analytical with data. Should have the curiosity and drive to explore other data sources in developing or supporting a compelling story.

· Support the manager on the deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports.

· Agile thinking and ability to work effectively under pressure in highly crunched timelines for media pitches.

Be motivated to master social listening and curious to learn advanced research techniques across qualitative/quantitative/mixed methodologies.

Qualifications

· 1-2 years of experience in qualitative research and consumer insights. Experience in a social media, market research, media agency or client-side research & insights division would be preferred.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Market Research, Communications, Economics, Computer Science, Information technology, Human-Computer Interaction or related educational concentration

· Fluency in English & Arabic is needed for the role. Any additional language would be a plus.

· Should have experience working in MENA. Strong understanding of the MENA cultural and social nuances.

· Able to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analysis and recommendations.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to transform data into a concise, yet compelling story.

· Critical thinking skills are important and would be necessary across all facets of this job.

· Strong sense of responsibility & accountability of own work, proactive attitude, good interpersonal skills and confidence in presentations.

· Highly organized and impeccable attention to detail. Able to deliver accurate reports without grammatical or data errors.

· Strong time management skills. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize deliverables accordingly.

· Should be able to properly set expectations with the manager and stakeholders across project tasks.

· Strong familiarity and understanding of most social media platforms is essential: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Blogs, Forums, Instagram and Tumblr.

· Strong willingness to master social listening from a research, business and marketing perspective. Past experience of leveraging and activating social listening in a holistic manner would be an advantage.

. Proficient user of MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
