Senior Tech Lead – Payments
Job Description
Our client, a global IT consulting firm is hiring Sr. Tech Lead – Payments with hands on experienceto drive strategic payment market infrastructure (MI) &;managing complete project cycle by engaging the project stakeholders on daily.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diversified team of professional developers / engineers both onshore, offshore&; vendor resources who are responsible for critical delivery and support of local regulatory payment initiatives
- Provide expertise and recommendations in the design / delivery of critical payments settlement engine as per the business requirement
- Have strong experience in Java tools / frameworks and be capable of providing guidance to peer developers &; engineers
- Interact with the Digital team who are responsible for customer payment journeys support and delivery
- Analyse the impact of new functional requirement change impact to existing systems
- Prepare solution documentation describing deliverables to meet requirements
- Assist the delivery team in the requirement and concept and ensure correct functionality solutions are delivered
- Converge the requirements from regulators and effectively conclude on business requirement specification document for discussion with business lead
- Plan and designate project resources, budgeting, monitor progress and keep all the stakeholders informed throughout the whole project cycle
- Liaise with other teams within and outside digital squads to negotiate timelines, deliverables and dependencies
- Ensure the projects are aligned to and delivered against the business objectives
- Use agile practices to rapidly deliver efficient solutions as per business requirement
- Perform appropriate level of stakeholder management across business, technology and partners
- Focus on regulatory and controls aspects that can impact Information security and control Lapses
Requirements
- 10+ years of large BFSI projects management
- Hands on expertise in payments domain and platforms, with sound knowledge on clearing and remittance banking products
- Good knowledge of payment flows and payment processes
- Good knowledge on SWIFT, ISO20022, MT/MX formats. Central Bank UAE payment product knowledge desirable
- Strong business orientation and domain knowledge to comprehend user requirement
- Strong organizational, team building and leadership qualities
- Strong program management and general management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users and other teams
- Experience in working with agile methodology
- Functional and technology knowledge desirable on major banking applications
- Good Vendor management skills
- Good analytical / communication skills
- Willing to work on a Contractual role
