Job Title: Workforce Services Regional Manager – Middle East & Europe

The Role
The Workforce Services Regional Manager in the Middle East and EU is a key leadership role accountable for developing and implementing a detailed Workforce Services strategy for the regions, creating competitive advantages in direct-hire, EPCM and PMC execution, and ensuring Bechtel maintains our position in the marketplace through timely and responsible negotiations with stakeholders.
We are seeking a dynamic leader who will understand not only the business goals, but legislative requirements, industry practices and stakeholder expectations as they relate to the management of our workforce in the region. The role will involve working across all business lines in and with exposure to the most senior levels within Bechtel.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of technical employment law and its application in both public and private sector construction. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build a high performing team whom are able to effectively drive change through implementation of the Regional Workforce Services model.
A self-starter who strives for excellence and achievement. Has a high degree of ethical conduct, demeanor and a working style to foster trust, respect, collaboration and engagement with others both across the business and externally. The ability to switch between the operational and strategic levels of management seamlessly and a tenacious character that can both give and accept constructive criticism. Ideally you will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in senior Industrial Relations roles within the Construction Industry and have operated in a variety of different countries / regions, particularly in the international space, including the Middle East.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be flexible to travel to different countries and to remote locations to maintain leadership presence and remain connected to our project sites.
10+ years of supervisory or leadership roles in Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, or Human Resources as it pertains to
Construction craft employees
Demonstrated experience in working with organized labor to promote a positive construction work environment on industrial projects
Ability to communicate clearly and objectively verbally and in writing to internal and external counterparts.
At least 7 years of experience with direct-hire craft execution and managing the craft employee life cycle from recruiting to demobilization.
Comprehensive understanding of the Workforce Services model, including the support services necessary for craft logistics including camp/catering, transportation, security/site access, etc
