ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Since the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022, WFP has set up operations in Ukraine to ensure food needs are met both inside and outside of Ukraine. WFP is also providing emergency cash assistance to Ukrainian internally displaced persons (IDPs) covering approximately one million IDPs with the first round of the Multipurpose cash assistance.
The L’viv field office is seeking to fill the position of an IT – SCOPE focal point.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Support the deployment, implementation, and use of WFP standard Digital Assistance Services (DAS): software, applications, programs, utilities, or auxiliary software.
- Provide 1st level support and problem analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of DAS application problems for end-users, implementing corrective solutions or escalation to appropriate persons as required.
- Provide end to end operational support for all transfers modalities supported by digital solutions.
- Regularly monitors and follows up on all pending tickets and issues registered with Digital Assistance tools and works with the different teams/ service desk or support staff for resolution and closure.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and the delivery of training on digital solution for Cash based and in-kind transfer Programming. Provide trainings and on job coaching to WFP focal points, cooperating partners, retailers, financial service providers and other WFP affiliated stakeholders.
- Work closely with Regional Bureau Cairo/ Regional Service Support /Scope service desk to analysis /escalate/resolve Scope related issues when needed and generating periodic reports on support given
- Support DAS lead and developers with end-user engagement, e.g., requirement gathering, process mapping, meeting scheduling and follow-up
- Coordinate and monitor field operations, respond to evolving business needs and new requirements.
- Contribute to strategic thinking on digital systems and tools in line with the emergency operational needs.
- If applicable, support the DAS and IT infrastructure team with DevOps.
- Perform other duties when required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Computer Science (Bachalors), Information Management, or another relevant field.
Experience:
• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in implementing computer systems, doing project management, requirements gathering, leading implementation projects, negotiating deadlines, deliverables, and resources.
• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in the design and development of information management and database solutions.
Language:
Language: Working level fluency in English and full fluency in Ukrainian.

• Proficient in Excel (advanced level) and MS Office suite.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environments.
• Expertise in Cash-Based Transfers implementation or Monitoring & Evaluation implementation would be desirable.
