Job Description
Summary
Responsiblefor supporting and assisting the Charge Description Master (CDM) Specialists in the analysis and maintenance of data capture routines andmaintenance of the CDM.Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Assistsin the maintenance of the Hospital CDM in accordance with established Hospitalregulatory requirements and coding practice.
- SupportsMedical/Clinical Departments and CDM specialists in processing requests to add,change or delete CDMs consistent with normal operational procedures.
- Buildseffective working relations with clinicians, charge auditors, medical recordsand revenue team to ensure timely capture.
- Assistsin providing support to the Assistant CDM and CDM Specialists in ensuring allitems and services offered by the Hospital are properly coded and reflected inthe Charge master database.
- Assistsin performing reviews of CDM activity and/or charge capture processes in orderto provide assurance that systems and data flows are working adequately.Assists in preparation of reports for senior management as required.
- Supports projects led by the Assistant CDM and CDMSpecialists to improve data capture process efficiency and CDM chargestructures.
- Supportsin maintaining a suitable filing system for all reference documents in the areaof responsibility.
- Followsall related Hospital policies and procedures.
- Participates in self andothers education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performsother related duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing,Health Allied field (e.g. Physiotherapy Therapy, Pharmacy, etc.), or otherrelated discipline is required.Experience Required
Two (2) years ofrelated experience in similar duties and functions of the job, in a hospitalsetting or a large organization with Bachelor's Degree is required.
Grade 09: Four (4) years of related experience withBachelor's Degree is required. Other Requirements(Certificates)
Saudi National Only.
