Our client is a fast-growing payments gateway platform, expanding its presence in Dubai. Our client has a newly created headcount for a Head of Legal to to join their business. This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned and innovative Lawyer to take a non-traditional Legal career path and be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial working environment.
Job Description
- Act as a trusted Legal advisor to the business and advise on regulatory matters in both local and overseas and cross-border context.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies that are applicable to the FinTech/ payments space.
- Take lead in managing corporate transactions, technology licensing, cross-border payments and any relevant matter arise from the daily operation of the business.
- Advice business on technology contracts, software agreements and licensing contracts.
- Provide legal advice on contractual, regulatory, corporate governance and litigation issues.
The Successful Applicant
- Hold an LLB and be qualified in the UK, US or analogous jurisdiction.
- Minimum 6 years post qualification experience in a similar sector
- Must have exposure to FinTech regulation in the UAE and/or KSA.
- Experience advising either a FinTech of Financial services entity on compliance related matters.
- Experience working in a start up or growth
- Strong preference for Arabic speakers.
