. Instructs university students in physical education activities in educational settings . Plans physical education programs to promote development of student's physical attributes and social skills . Teaches individual and team sports to students, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of physical capabilities of students . Instructs individuals or groups in beginning or advanced corrective exercises, determining type and level of difficulty of exercises, corrections needed, and prescribed movements, applying knowledge of sports, physiology, and corrective techniques . May teach students with disabilities . Organizes, leads, instructs, and referees indoor and outdoor games, such as volleyball, football, and basketball . Assist faculty members in performing specific duties as assigned or undertaking specialized tasks . Teaches and demonstrates use of weights in physical conditioning settings . May select, store, order, issue, and inventory equipment, materials, and supplies used in physical education program . Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities . Assists in establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior . has a sense of identifying special needs of individual students . Encourages safety habits in work and organized game activities . Serves as a locker room attendant . Sets up equipment for class . Assists in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct . Monitors students to keep them on tasks
Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have earned a Master's Degree in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate practical courses is a must.
Preferred Qualification
Master's Degree in physical education with at least 3 years of work-experience in teaching individual and team sports and swimming.
