STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication, media, journalism, public relations, communication design, graphic design, etc. revelant departments of universities and 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English and Turkish language is required.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
These jobs are found in Country Offices (COs) and report to a Communications Officer or the designate. Due to technological advancements the pace of the change in communication industry is very fast. As a support unit, communications unit’s role is also gaining traction. Social media is also playing a very critical role to reach out stakeholders of WFP and call to action.
JOB PURPOSE
To create content for WFP Turkiye social media accounts (Twitter and Instagram), managing the accounts in line with the WFP corporate guidelines and respond to the needs of WFP activities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- Interested in self-development in the field of humanitarian aid communication and being able to take an active role in content production of the UN World Food Program Turkiye's social media accounts,
- Under clear guidance, create engaging digital/print content, including graphics, brochure, publications, gifs, posts, stories, etc. and support of WFP’s activities, ensuring consistency with corporate messages and standards.
- Support the team to prepare short write up/communication for dissemination
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, visual representations, infographics as required
- Creating and maintaining an editorial calendar, including special days, such as UN days, national and international official days.
- When necessary, coordinate communication with relevant third parties.
- Monitor and prepare social media report with relevant information to senior staff to inform the development and/or evaluation of the accounts.
- Liaise with WFP staff and the social media in a timely manner, to support aligned activities and an effective approach to communications within WFP.

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to generate design collaterals with quick turnaround time
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier, Final Cut and/or other tools used for graphic design.
- Good skills in video editing, basic knowledge of motion graphic design is a plus.
- Basic understanding of current affairs and interest in development challenges · Experience in writing blogs, features, articles would be an asset.
- Keen attention to detail

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Remuneration: A competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.

Duration of the contract: 6 months (renewable)
