ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
At this level, job holder is expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of processes and tasks related to data quality check and analysis that require some interpretation of findings. Job holder is able to decide whether data is reliable or needs to be collected once more.This post is based in Gaziantep and under the direct supervision of Head of M&E Unit.The incumbent will be closely working with the Programme Assistant of Targeting and VAM.
JOB PURPOSE
The objective of this role is to handle large datasets of WFP beneficiary and non-beneficiaries, clean that data, analyze it, and coordinate with WFP cooperating partners for follow-up actions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- Effectively manage WFP’s Beneficiary Enhanced Selection Tool (BEST) data by acting as the focal point for BEST database, by ensuring it is up to date and by troubleshooting error.
- Manage and work with data using Excel and provide required analysis.
- Analyze the data using Pivot Tables and visualize the results using charts and tables.
- Conduct data quality checks and check the errors and report them.
- Coordinate and work with WFP Cooperating Partners (CPs) to collect the correct data.
- Edit, update/correct the collected data, and generate duplication reports.
- Contribute to designing the data collection tools (ODK – Open Data Kit tools).
- Work on preparing samples for verification based on the monthly updated beneficiary data.
- Receive monthly verification results, check the quality of data, and follow-up with CPs for revisions.
- Contribute to training the CPs on targeting and VAM principles and tools.
- Perform other duties as required from the line manager.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience; including 1 year of working experience in data cleaning and analysis.
Language: Fluent (level C) English and Arabic in both oral and written communication.
FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO DELIVER OUTPUTS
Food Security Analysis : Has basic awareness and knowdelge of food security measurement activities to perform daily activities including checking data quality and data cleaning.
Technical Specialized Knowledge (GIS): Has basic knowledge in Geographic Information Systems and an understanding of food security concepts that are used in mapping.
Emergency Programming: Displays capacity to provide inputs into the development, implementation and realignment of high quality emergency programmes.
