SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER
PURPOSE, SCOPE AND IMPACT
- Supply Chain Officer contributes to establishing order fulfillment guidelines and carries out order fulfilment activities in accordance with main Logitics Supoort centre LSC common objectives and service level agreement
- Geographical remit: Regional
- Manage Supply Chain officers’ team
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional responsibilities:
- Process and fulfils clients order according to the ICRC ‘s logistical and financial procedures and pre-established fulfilment guidelines
- Contributes to establishing fulfilment guidelines
- Analyses the requests received, identifying priorities and proposing alternatives when necessary
- Ensure that the priorities set by supply Chain coordinator are followed
- Responsible for treating messages / Requests received in AMM LOG Services
- Keeps AMM LOG Services & Serice Task Management STM messages up to date until the request is completed (order delivered)
- Responsible for overseeing all SRs / STs fulfilment under Amman Logistics Support Center AML B/P
- Keeps service requesters regularly informed of the progress of their requests.
- Records and files documents pertaining to be ordering process, registers and forward claims and comments from service requesters.
- Regularly analyses the supply chain workload and proposes potential improvements, including to customer service policy.
- Update’s logistics dashboards, analyses trend and provides statistics.
- Contributes to supply chain support for an assigns geographic area or specific group of products.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Internally, mainly interacts within the Supply Chain Planning specialist, Supply Planners and Supply Officer, Supply Chain Coordinator, Purchase, Warehouse, Transport, the global planning networks.
- Has no external relationships
GENERAL DUTIES
- Be aware of the delegation’s objectives and activities
- Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
- Always apply the security rules
- Respect and observe the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan.
- The employee may be asked to perform other duties not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when and if necessary.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
Certifications / Education required
- University degree in related field such as logistics, Business administration or Economics
- Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic
- Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems an asset (JDE, SAP, etc.)
- six to nine years overall professional experience, including three years successful experience in a supply chain/logistics department or similar.
- Technical knowledge of products and services used by ICRC assistance Division.
