Background:

Scope of Work:
- Processes the requisitions sent by the requester
- Personally responsible for the perfect implementation of the procurement procedures.
- Independent and self-sufficient, requests the quotes on the national market.
- fills out the Bid Summaries, Comparison charts, Waivers and Purchase orders.
- Prepare big, detailed comparison sheets for big tenders (specially for medication and medical commodities)
- issues memos in case a waiver of any step of Procurement process
- Handling full big procurements > 20k USD and BPAs – from receiving PR till full delivery and payment, according to IMC Procurement Manual
- Ask for signatures as per the procurement procedure
- Responsible for writing the opening minutes and negotiations conclusion minutes.
- Represent logistics department in the sealed offers opening meetings.
- Knows the local market and available suppliers. Selects the best suppliers to request quotes from as per price and quality.
- Delivers the Purchase orders to the selected suppliers. Ask signature and provides a signed copy to the supplier as order.
- Make sure all suppliers are legal and reports his supervisor in case of illegal issues.
- Presents the procurement files to the Finance office and ensures the payment in timely manner.
- Conduct a reference check for selected vendors for big tenders
- Once delivered to the warehouse, makes sure the items are sent in timely manner to the field sites, provides, and approximate delivery date. Contacts sites in case of delay and provides new expected delivery date.
- Manage and review Procurement Assistant work
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Responsible for issuing tenders and advertise in the public newspaper
- Provides procurement support to all programs in compliance with IMC Procurement standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, pharmacy, business or logistics
- At least 2 year of experience in a similar role
- Preferred to have NGO experience
