Worley is currently looking for an experienced Field HSE Engineer to be part of our team on a project in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Provide field and administrative Health, Safety, and Environmental support to the site team and to Worley project leadership. ensuring the integration of the Worley and Customer HSE requirements in site work towards achieving zero harm and quality HSE performance
Field Responsibilities
. Promote a Worley Life safety approach (We value life) attitude from all employees
. Assist Worley Project HSE Manager with injury management and modified work program as required.
. Coordinate with contractors and customer clear understanding of the work scope and JSA review and approval with customer operations/PMT on site.
. Identify plant operation units specific HSE requirements (i. e. Confine space, manual Excavation checklist, Permits etc.)
. Conduct pre/mobilization assessment and readiness for field execution (i.e. Method statement, HSE plan and JSA review, equipment inspection)
. To ensure the integration of the Worley and Customer HSE requirements into work execution on site
. Identify and immediately report to Worley Supervision any contractor employees who are unwilling to take part in the Worley HSE program or demonstrate a poor safety attitude.
. Identify and immediately report to Worley Project HSE Manager any Events, incidents or non-compliance issues
. Feedback to Worley HSE program any concerns regarding Pre-task or employee intervention participation and quality by Worley/ Subcontractors employee on site.
. Flag and escalate intervention that contain incident preventions methods, money/time saving tactics, or quality workmanship for consideration as a Value Plus or Positive Root Cause Investigation.
. Conduct field walks with all new Worley/ Subcontractors employees,
. Review Subcontractor HSE officer/ Engineer Expectations in compliance with customer requirements
. Provide field support for all injuries and incidents. This will include the initiation of employee care, injury/incident scene control, witness interviews, and documentation
. Complete project work area walkthrough on a regular basis, prepare and issue daily/weekly site reports
. Coach and communicate with Worley / subcontractors employees in customer site to ensure safety compliance, positive morale, and a supportive work environment (e.g. Toolbox Talks, Safety Stand down, Safety meetings)
. Perform safety inspections on subcontractor Equipment or other tools deploy for work on site
. Other relevant duties as instructed by Project HSE Manager
Various Administrative Responsibilities:
. Be familiar with and understand Worley and Customer's Contractual HSE Management Program and relevant OHS legislation and make improvement recommendations when gaps are identified.
. Generate initial incident notifications (email or handwritten) and submit to the Project HSE Manager.
. Assist in all aspects of incident/ Event investigations.
. Identify Positive Root Cause Investigation (PRCI) opportunities. Perform the investigation with the support of site leadership and share the learnings amongst subcontractors workmen.
. Attend meetings Toolbox talk., Site HSE meeting, safety standdown as required.
Generate HSE documentation review on site:
. Pre-Excavation/ Manual Excavation checklist and excavation safety checklist s
. Confined space Entry log and Gas test form,
. Vehicle /Equipment Inspection checklist
. Traffic Safety -Driver Acknowledgement
. Job safety analysis (JSA Toolbox Talk forms, method statement, Safety data sheet SDS
. Copies of relevant documents (Permit, SPA, etc.)
Job Specific Knowledge:
. A basic understanding of the various trades employed by Worley and their duties within those trades Identification of HSE requirements for a given work scope, planning and implementation of associated activities.
. Worley and customer HSE programs, policies, processes, procedures, and objectives, subcontractors scope execution and management in the field / client Plant
. Relevant regional OHS or OSHA legislation
. Personal safety safe working practices in line with Worley and client management system
Industry Specific Experience:
. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 or more years site safety experience, preferably 6 years+Qualifications
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Sciences related degree, membership of a relevant HSE Organisation Institution or similar. Knowledge of applicable KSA and International safety legislation.
