Job Description
The IRC-REPS seeks to fill several positions with potential candidates having excellent experience in: . Efficient solar cell development considering harsh weather conditions.
. Self-cleaning surfaces and coating for solar energy applications.
. Renewable energy conversion.
. Renewable energy applications in desalination, heating, cooling, etc.
. Power system stability, protection, and resiliency.
. Power systems operation and control under bulk integration of renewables.
. Micro-grids operated through renewable energy systems.
. Smart-grid data analytics and cybersecurity.
. Renewable energy integrated buildings, facilities, etc.
. Smart energy systems and energy auditing.
. Energy storage systems (thermal, electrical, hydrogen, and others).
. Industry 4.0, internet of things (IoT), edge computing, and data analytics for intelligent management of energy systems.
. Renewable energy policies and standards.
. Emerging technologies related to renewable energy and power systems.
Job Responsibility
The candidate should be capable of:
. Preparing research proposals and conducting research (basic, applied, and client-funded) in accordance with the center's needs.
. Contributing to the ongoing research in the center.
. Preparing technical reports for the clients.
. Publishing research findings in high-impact scientific outlets.
. Mentoring university students (Ph.D./MSc/BSc)
. Developing courses (short and long) and organizing scientific workshops.
. Collaborating with local and international researchers.
. Building self-competencies in renewable energy and power systems

Qualifications
Applicants must have earned their Ph.D. Degrees from the reputable institutions, strong track record of publications, excellent communication skills, experience in supervising students, teaching experience at the university level, and industrial experience in renewable energy applications, power systems, energy policy and regulation, energy efficiency, intelligent energy systems, industry 4.0 applications in energy systems, and renewable energy materials.
