Purchasing Manager (Transferable Iqama or Saudi Nationals Only)
Job Description
Summary
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies, Purpose, Mission, Vision and brand standards, whilst meeting colleague, guest and owner expectations.
Will be in charge of the Purchasing department and reporting to Director of Finance in planning and procurement of material, including vendor development and administration of contracted services in accordance with the hotel policy and procedures. To ensure the Purchasing department is properly working, leading the team, ensuring all the required items and materials are purchased in time with the best prices. Ensure stores are maintained, stock count is done and working closely with the Finance team to ensure all transactions are completed.
Preparing weekly roster for the team, conduct briefings, training and ensure there is a proper communication with suppliers/vendors and the hotel. To coordinate with all departments to ensure all items are properly handled. On yearly basis to review all contracts and get the best offers with the discounted prices. Working with Scala and ensuring systems are updated and team is properly working with it.
Qualifications
Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Finance or Hospitality/Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager in larger operation. Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
Must be having transferable Iqama a national of Saudi Arabia.
Must be fluent in English and Arabic including reading, writing and spoken language.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Able to work with hotel systems for requisitions.
Previous hotel experience is a must.
