The Role:
Expert in inventory management, planning, forecasting and ordering. The job holder would lead a team of supply chain planners to interpret and translate the demand plan to optimal orders and replenish warehouses regularly. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within supply chain operations. Develops strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, logistical partners and host brand to support and achieve accurate sales & operations plan.
The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:
Knowledge:

  • 5 plus years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably operations
  • Very good analytical, conceptual, interpersonal and communications skills topped by decision-making skills
  • Works good with people, from own teams or external teams
  • Initiates and leads efficient meetings and business cases where applies
  • Able to work under pressure in multitasking, guiding people toward performance and effectiveness
  • Understands well and comfortable with systems (Power BI, Advanced Excel and MS Office Apps)

Availability

  • Accountable for the accuracy of ordering and maintaining availability.
  • Develops and uses tools to identify, communicate, escalate and resolve current and future risk of out of stocks.
  • Regularly meets and communicates with key suppliers to discuss and improve service levels.

Inventory

  • Develop stock budgeting disciplines so that overall inventory can be managed at optimal levels
  • Ensures that obsolete inventory is managed to a minimum and cleared regularly out of the budget.
  • Monitors & reports stock level performance, highlighting expiry inventory risks and ensuring that appropriate clearance plans are agreed and executed.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop a suite of reporting tools that measure availability and OOS risks. Develop tools to report service level performance from suppliers
  • Create standardized supply chain processes, tools and reports so that work across the department can be completed in a standardized way.

Communication

  • Develop strong working relationships with key vendors, distributors and logistical providers so that performance can easily be assessed, and improvement secured.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key cross functions so that they fully engage and align on standard S&OP processes and other supply chain requirements.

  • Financial acumen and reading P&L figures
