OPERATING ROOM PRODUCTS COORDINATOR

Job Description

Summary
Assists the Manager, Operating Room Material Resources (ORMR) to manage the acquisition and maintenance of operating room (OR) stocks and supplies within the approved budget allocation.Acts as the principal liaison between the stores within the OR and Surgical Departments.Essential Responsibilities and Duties
2. Provides guidance to the POS team for evaluation of OR products and supplies. Assists with demonstrating justification for required items, exploring possible alternatives, and the consolidation of orders for costs containment when possible.
3. Ensures standardization across OR and eliminates duplication of stock and supplies.
4. Establishes, monitors, and compiles evaluations on OR products and supplies in collaboration with OR Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC).
5.Monitors and ensures products are ordered accurately through Oracle.
6. Establishes and maintains a system for analyzing budget variances for non-salary operating expenses in coordination with the Manager, ORMR.
7. Assists the Manager, ORMR in the preparation of the stores within the OR for annual physical inventory.
8. Assists the Manager, ORMR, in coordinating with CNC's related to delivery of new equipment to user's areas.
9. Prepares reports and maintains records as required.
10. Reports to the Manager, ORMR, any work related problems or issues.
11. Participates in Unit-based Performance Improvement activities.Education
Experience Required
Other Requirements(Certificates)
– Completion of an Operating Room Technician Program after High School is preferred.
– Bilingual (Arabic/English) is required.
– Clinical experience and solid computer knowledge preferred.
