WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a new Account Manager to work on one big account or a portfolio of smaller ones.
As an expert in your field, we expect to make the most of your specific discipline& skill set in addition to your experience in driving client growth. Responsibilities
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- To be responsible for the smooth running of an account and the production of its advertising
- To build strong relationships and foster good team spirit with both clients and members of the agency team
- To play a pivotal role in the development of advertising and creative strategies
- To show leadership and drive-in thinking of innovative solutions to business/strategic problems and in merchandising the Agency's services (particularly Brand Stewardship)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES
- To be ultimately responsible for ensuring work is produced on time and within budget
- To assist other departments with forward planning on future projects
- To have a thorough working knowledge of all agency systems
- To have a thorough understanding of the client's business and the major factor/s trends shaping their market(s)
- To be the client's port of call for all administrative issues
- To be the agency team's first port of call for all questions relating to client issues
- To build relationships with clients based upon trust/mutual understanding
- To foresee any client issues/questions or internal resourcing issues before they arise.
- To be the creative teams main day to day contact, providing direction on creative briefs and generating enthusiasm/trust from the team with which they work
- To oversee the production of all campaigns produced
- Should master a range of presentation techniques and considers the most appropriate and inspiring way to sell each piece of work
- Should keep abreast of the latest and best creative work across the industry
- To Manage the agency's billing system, helping the account executive to overcome any problems that may arise
- To help to improve profitability by thinking of ways to cut down on costs incurred running accounts
- To overcome any difficulties in getting creative work out on time
- Should have a solid knowledge of all TV/Print production issues such that, if necessary, cost saving solutions can be proposed
- To ensure that creative team/traffic manager/production manager/media are all on the same wavelength throughout a project and are aware of each other's deadlines
- Should have a deep understanding of consumer motivations/behaviour patterns in the marketplace
- To help the Account Director and Planner to develop a rigorous and insightful advertising strategy
- Should have the ability to contribute to well thought out, single-minded, inspiring creative briefs. This is a joint responsibility with the Account Planner and Account Director
- To delegate effectively and appropriately to their reports/other departments/ their Account Director
- Regular client contact – call before called
- Successful relationships with Client middle management
- Creation and Management of project timelines
- Writing simple briefs on communication projects
- Assisting Account Director in briefing creative
- Managing Internal Creative presentation sessions
- Estimate generation & Invoice management
- Profitability improvement through estimate and invoice management
- Monthly brand updates for Sr. Management
- Generating and presenting category environment reviews
- Demonstration of clear TTL communications knowledge through cross channel recommendations
Qualifications
PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- Provides a clear direction for the team in support of business objectives
- Gives effective feedback and coaches individuals to develop their own knowledge, skills and behaviour
- Conduct regular performance and development reviews
- Understand the dynamics of the market and the brand within the market
- Builds knowledge of brands, synthesising and interpreting information to facilitate strong strategic thinking
- Ensure that all brand activity is on agreed brand strategy
- Work to ensure client and agency share same expectations across all projects
- Represents individual or team point of view in convincing and compelling manner
