Senior Engineer, Rotating Equipment Maintenance
Job Description
Title:Senior Engineer, Rotating Equipment MaintenanceProvide technical expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul and shutdown to maintain rotating equipment effectively and efficiently to achieve high degree of availability, reliability and integrity for plant production. Shall be an Expert in MAXIMO / SAP system for Operating & Maintenance Spares review, identification and entry to system, coordination with vendors/ manufacturers for identifying finalizing spare parts numbers with reference to the drawings and documents and finalize the list of spares to be procured for operation. Coordinate with material cataloguing team for procurement and issue Material requests.
Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise
- Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification activities of rotating equipment in the plant to ensure safe and efficient services.
- Review preventive maintenance plans / schedules and prepare task list / maintenance programmes for rotating equipment in the plant and supervise the execution of such programmes.
- Provide guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and review requirement for major repair and spares replacements to ensure that all equipment is in accordance with internationally recognized engineering standard.
- Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the findings.
- Ensure availability of spares, coordinate and follow-up new material orders. Create new proposal for stocking spares mainly for new equipment, create item change request, spare parts control, and delete unwanted inventories from the stock.
- Prepare new maintenance procedures, method statement for new activities and schedule long term activities as per plant shutdown schedules.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and sections to optimize the utilization of section manpower and to plan and control the major & minor shutdown activities and expenditures.
- Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the mechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
- Prepare new plant change requests (PCR), study the proposed PCR for implementation and work out plans and schedules for implementing them.

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
. Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Reports
. Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Management.
Qualification
Bachelor Degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Twelve to Fourteen years of experience in engineering and Maintainance of rotating equipment with full knowledge of HSE in a plant environment within a large organisation within the Oil and Gas industry
