JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.
Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Involve patients,familiesand caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
Adherencetoevidence based practices.
Implements and maintains cost control procedures, and reserve the hospitall'sresources.
Obtainsdiethistoriesfrom patients.
Performingnutritionalassessment and reassessments of patients.
Plans and calculatestherapeuticdiets.
Evaluating patient's calorieintakewhen needed.
Development of nutritional plan of care.
Highlighting'food-drug interaction toclinicalstaff.
Interviewingandvisitingpatients. Making recommendationsrelatedto patient dietary needs.
Discusses patient's case with the physician and nursing staff when necessary.
Conductslecturesfor the department periodically.
Participates in awareness campaignsand events to improve community's knowledgeregarding nutritionandhealth.
Performs miscellaneousrelated duties as required by chiefof medical nutrition.
Reviewing and updating thedietary manual.
Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients protected healthinformationand adherence to institutionalsafety practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in ClinicalNutrition
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Two yearexperience
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Good command ofEnglishandArabic, both written and oral.
Computerliterate
COMPETENCE:
Highdegreeof professionalethics,integrityandgravitas.
REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:
Proper, effective and compassionate communication.
Positive,calm,confident, cooperative,and willing to assumeleadership role and seetasksthroughtimely completion.
