- Demonstrable experience in Outside Plant Fibre Optic Repair practices.
- Available and on call at night, public holidays and weekends by prior arrangement to assist with any potential detection and repair of a fibre fault.
- Ensure that all assigned tools and test equipments are maintained to a high standard and kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Prepared to for short duration travel to other regions to provide leave or medical absence cover for other nationwide Fiber Maintenance Teams.
- Responsibility for ensuring that the relevant standards of Health & Safety related to Fibre Maintenance Working and OSP inspections are applied to all staff during all works that are carried out.
- Ensure that the Systems Team Leader is fully briefed related to all effected, and any limitations of any emergency repairs that are effected.
- Ensure that any potential Security and/or infrastructure related issues are immediately escalated to the Systems Team Leader, who will in turn escalate to the Regional Management Team.
- Must have suitable qualifications relevant to the role being applied for, or the demonstrable equivalent experience in Telecommunications Fiber Maintenance for at least 5 years previously.
- Must have experience of outside working practices in a Middle East environment and climate.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Valid Driving License.
