Job Description & Role:
Candidate shall be assigned to an integrated sustainability team for projects within the Middle East and Europe and will report directly to the Head of Sustainability or the Senior Sustainability Consultant.
Undertake noise and vibration assessments, for example in buildings to make sure they meet building regulations, for planning applications and for environmental statements.
Carry out insulation detailing and testing.
Complete survey and acoustic modeling work with knowledge of how changes in design affect.
Undertake data analysis, prediction, assessment and reporting.
Liaise with clients and local authorities regarding their project requirements.
Prepare tenders and accurate quotations for projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, liaise with clients and colleagues throughout a senior level and appear in court as an expert witness.
Prepare and produce reports and recommendations.
Operate independently and under guidance.
Undertake project administration and management.
Use modeling software, which could include ODEON, SoundPLAN, INSUL, CadnaA, CATT-coustic, or any acoustic software.
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture)
An aptitude for Math and Science
Noise modeling skills, including familiarity with noise modeling software
A logical and creative approach to problem solving
Excellent written and verbal skills, including technical report writing skills
The ability to collate and analyze data
The confidence to liaise with clients and local authorities
Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Excel and Word as well as computer simulations
Project, resource and time management skills
Commercial awareness
Budgeting and negotiating skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of relevant codes of practice, policy and legislation
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants
Have background within the built environment sector (1-2 years)
Working Knowledge of MEP, Construction Management and Design
Demonstrated project experience
Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, QSAS, or Estidama
At least one of the accreditations: LEED GA or AP, Estidama, Green Star or BREEAM Accreditation
Comprehensive written and spoken English
GCC experience
Excellent planning and organization skills required for a fast-paced environment
Ability to self-manage
Additional Experience/Certifications:
Hands-on engineering and project management skills (PMP)
Arabic language would be a plus
Master's Degree is a plus
Local Driver's license and personal mode of transportation
Passport which allows for efficient regional travel.
