As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic you will maintain assigned trucks, ships, and related surface cabin equipment in accordance with operating specifications.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Welding, painting and refurbishing equipment.
- Conducting mechanical inspections using moderately complex diagnostic equipment.
- Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
- Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Maintains records and scheduling maintenance of equipment.
- Maintaining equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs.
- Inspecting and dispositioning of parts and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Technical diploma or 4+ years maintenance related experience in heavy diesel equipment
- Have ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
- Have knowledge on hydraulic circuits and ability to troubleshoot faults.
- Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
- Have basic level of analytical ability to find solutions to complex technical problems.
- Have advanced computer skills.
