The project is a major infrastructure program for a mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Planning Manager and responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of the project.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Review Baseline Schedules for:
- scope of work
- work breakdown structure (WBS)
- project milestones and key events
- activity definitions
- logical relationships.
- critical Path analysis
- cash flow analysis
- resource & productivity analysis and
- basis of schedule documentation
Review Schedule updates for:
- Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities.
- Monitor schedule deviations and variances.
- Assess resourcing needs of the project by analyzing the productivity rates
- Evaluate alternative plans (revised / recovery schedules), work-around courses of action, as required.
- Document schedule changes and keep time-phased copies of the schedule of the work as historical records as the project progresses.
- Assist in providing periodic reports of schedule content to the project team
- Maintains Program Master Schedule and updates Resources requirements
- Assist with implementation of earned value and scope changes
- Participates in weekly and monthly schedule meetings
- Work in concert with supervision consultant / contractor's project cost engineers, quantity surveyors, estimators, and material control personnel, to ensure cost and schedule integration.
- Upon completion of the project, verify that the as-built schedule reflects accurate completion dates for each schedule activity.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- BSc construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years overall experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a scheduler
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Middle East is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
- Experienced user of Primavera P6, Pertmaster and MS Office
- Excellent knowledge of CPM networks, resource and cost loading and risk management techniques
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyze progress, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Excellent report writing skills
- Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
