Job Description
Job Title – Applications Support Specialist
Location Doha, Qatar
Duration 1 Year renewable.
Qualification – Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Degree from University is required
-Preferably a minimum of 5 years of experience in applications development and support. Mainly Microsoft framework/applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, .NET and SQL. or work-related experience, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement
– In-depth knowledge of networks with a focus on high-level design and planning.
Ideal candidate knows how to collaborate on large-scale projects but can also complete assigned tasks on their own
Responsibility
- To carry out L1,L2, and L3 support activities of the deployed applications
- To act as functional consultant to support the business units and support them in using the systems
- To document the business workflows using IBM Blue Works
- To develop SharePoint applications, Web Parts, forms, and workflows
- Custom development utilizing Microsoft technologies including .NET Framework, SharePoint (latest versions and 2013), SQL Server
- Additional scripting languages, JavaScript, JQuery, XML
- Support SharePoint applications like access permissions, enhancements and change requests
- Monitor SharePoint server, performing cleanup and backup on regular basis
- Provide on-going support of SharePoint systems including resolution of application systems incidents, root cause analysis of problems, impact analysis and planning of proposed system upgrades and patches
- Analyzing and reporting upon SharePoint usage and activity
- Hands-on experience in developing and supporting complex business applications built using .NET or SharePoint framework
- Understand SharePoint Development tools and architecture, accessing web services, connecting with external data (XML, SAP, SQL databases)
- Experience in SharePoint administration and configuration
- Microsoft certifications in the mentioned technologies is a plus
- Strong English communication skills and ability in building good relations with end users
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills are highly required to succeed in this position.
