Qualifications
- Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, physics, or any other discipline with a quantitative focus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, result-oriented team, with a steep learning curve
- 1+ years of technical experience in reliability and maintenance, distributed computing, machine learning, and statistics related work preferably in the energy industry
- Experience developing or deploying digital tools, machine learning models or cloud infrastructure
- Programming experience in R, Python
- Outstanding record of academic achievement and demonstrated aptitude for analytics
- Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and can work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Excellent communication skills ability to explain complex analytical concepts to colleagues and clients from other fields

You will be based in our Saudi Client Capabilities Hub in Riyadh, as a member of our global MaintenanceAI team, which is part of Power Solutions.
MaintenanceAI is focused on the heavy industry sectors with a track record of successfully delivering technology enabled consulting services, working with tech partners and solutions to our clients. MaintenanceAI combines the most advanced digital tools along the entire energy value chain – from Lean maintenance, Digital Workflow Management and Predictive Maintenance.
We enable the deployment and development of a portfolio of McKinsey proprietary solutions required to successfully tackle and solve the complex challenges of the heavy industries. Our clients cover the entire energy value chain, including energy companies, industry clients, investors and public sector clients. Working hand-in-hand with our Global Energy & Materials consulting practice and with access to the expertise of the wider McKinsey network, our research and analysis yield knowledge available nowhere else.What You'll Do
You'll help shape the fourth industrial revolution for our clients through proprietary models and leveraging unique components built on top of existing market simulation solutions.
In this role, you will focus on several geographies and work closely with experts from our Oil & Gas, Electric Power, Chemicals, Basic Materials, and Transport Travel and Logistics & Resource Productivity practices. This will involve coordinating macroeconomic, technological and policy trends with McKinsey's insights on industry level- and overall energy system development.
You will engage with clients as part of a cross-functional team on studies to deploy our models, customize them to client settings and derive the relevant strategic insights relevant to set the course of their strategy, their data & IoT strategy, maintenance practices and reliability strategy. You will develop the traditional McKinsey toolkit to gain breadth and depth on the potential options that our clients have to resolve their most complex challenges.
You will actively contribute to internal and external outreach efforts to grow the brand awareness and support our client development efforts while identifying new opportunities for McKinsey to develop new digital products to better services our clients.
You will play an active role in the delivery of our solution to power utility clients, and will help build a new entrepreneurial knowledge-based business as MaintenanceAI is an extension of McKinsey's service and is expected to grow substantially within the next five years. We will be building the future of the heavy industry sector together.
