Your Responsibilities

• Technical expert and will lead through the requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and support phases of highly scalable and high performing on-prem, cloud, transit, and backbone network technology solutions.
• You will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of various networking protocols, technologies and troubleshooting methodologies to mentor and advise team members. You will also help simplify and improve both business and technical processes through the adoption and promotion of latest technology and automation practices.
• Work with relevant stake holders to design, deploy, operate, and optimize various networking infrastructure components in relation to DC, LAN, WAN, SAN, and VPN services.
• Lead significant projects, define technical specifications, and develop requirements that result in high performing network infrastructure.
• Make accurate and easily comprehensible documentation for any new builds or procedures besides performing routine hardware and software upgrades and configurations.
• Configure and install various IT network infrastructure and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS, Servers, Storage, cabling etc.).
• Monitor performance, system resource utilization and ensure system availability and reliability and facilitate capacity planning.
• Select and implement appropriate network and security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's Information Security policies.
• Ensure network architectures and configurations conform Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Adopt and model a DevOps mindset by applying automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous observability.
• Monitor and analyse negative impacts resulting from system or network implementations, ensuring resources are balanced and functioning within specified ranges and liaise with vendors and peers for problem resolution.
• Maintains documentation and updates the network and security infrastructure, tests, and implements vendor security patches, implements workarounds for security vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoots problems with applications, network including routers, switches, DNS and DHCP appliances and Wireless devices etc.

Your Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and engineering, primarily with routing and switching technologies in large scale multi-location LAN, WAN and Data Center environments (public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud).
• Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Strong knowledge and hands on experience working with networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.
• Thorough understanding and practical experience of routing protocols and switching technologies including PIM Multicast.
• Substantial experience administering Cisco product lines (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and NXOS)
• Strong knowledge of firewall technologies from Cisco, Palo Alto etc.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), or/and open-source Network Operating Systems.
• Knowledge and experience of network and information security practices.
• Experience with Compute infrastructure and Virtualization technologies such as VMware
• Solid understanding of software defined infrastructure including but not limited to SD- Access, SDDC, SD-WAN etc.
• Knowledge about distributed systems such as network/application load balancers, DNS, VM/Container networking.
• Expert at leading and defining technical requirements and interpretation of business requirements.
• In-depth understanding and experience in L2/L3 MPLS VPN, Multi-protocol BGP, MLAG, LACP, STP, VXLAN, EVPN, 802.11, IPsec, ACLs, HSRP/VRRP, DHCP, AAA, RBAC, RADIUS etc.
• Advanced understanding of performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with multiple circuit providers and services (Ethernet, MPLS, Leased Line, Microwave, DWDM, DMVPN, VPN, NAT etc.)
• Experience in leveraging software innovations to automate network management, improve network observability, and remediate problems.
• Good understanding of Zero Trust concepts, micro segmentation, and SASE.
• Experience in setting up and operating multi-pod and multi-site DC environments.
