Location Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire
Start Date: September 2022 (or earlier if possible)
Contract: Fixed term until August 2023, all year round
Salary: Grade 10 (NJC 8 – 11), £20,852 – £22,129 per annum (pro-rata: £11,271.35 – £11,961.62 per annum)
Hours: part-time (20 hours per week)

The Role
Winterbourne Academy are looking to appoint a reliable Duty Manager to join our friendly and professional lettings team The successful candidate will assist with the weekend and evening running of our sport facilities, including sports hall, sports fields, swimming pool and all weather pitch, ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the first priority. They will be a proactive member of the team, who will be able to supervise our Casual Lifeguards/Sports Assistants, ensuring performance potential is optimised and all work is carried out to the highest standard. They will have excellent communication, customer service and admin skills. They will have the ability to think on their feet, and be able to remain calm when under pressure. They will also have experience in a similar role. First Aid at Work Qualification and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification would be desirable, but not essential. English Fluency Duty under The Immigration Act 2016: As you are applying for a customer facing role, you must have the ability to converse easily with customers and be able to provide advice and guidance in accurate spoken English.
The Academy
Winterbourne Academy (WA) is a vibrant and successful learning community located in South Gloucestershire (on the outskirts of Bristol). It is the largest academy in the county with a long tradition of high academic outcomes. It is part of a family of schools operated under the leadership of the Olympus Academy Trust. The Trust currently comprises ten South Gloucestershire schools; one all-through, four secondary and five primary academies, a University Technical College and a secondary Free School which is yet to be built.
