Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
Under the supervision and direction of the Logistics Manager, this job is responsible for handling all activities related to shipping the product in Containers (Bulk and Bags) and to contribute to facilitating the duties of the Logistics Manager * Coordinates with Sales regarding shipping schedule of containerized and bagged shipments. * Collects and negotiates freight of containers with shipping lines and submit offers to Logistics Manager for further approval from the Senior Marketing Operations Director. * Coordinates with the Loading Section (Production) at Safi for loading bulk containers. * Coordinates with the bagging companies for bagging and loading product into containers. * Obtaining approval from the Logistics Manager to appoint inspection companies at Safi & bagging sites. * Facilitates external documents collection by coordinating with documentation and Sales for each shipment. * Facilitates settling invoices related to freight of containers, bagging, containers loading and inspection by checking and verifying them and to submit them to Finance through the Logistics Manager & the Senior Marketing Operations Director. * Record each container shipment details both electronically and manually. * Follows up cargo delivery at discharging port through shipping lines to ensure smooth delivery to the customer. * Assists the Logistics Manager in his duties. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in logistics. * At least (5) years’ experience in international reputable companies in related fields. * Excellent skills in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). * Excellent reading, speaking & writing skills in English language. * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking skills & ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * The successful candidate must be a non-smoker.
