Scope of Work
The Jordan Economic Reform Activity Task Order 1 (ERA TO1) is a 5-year, $54 million program funded by USAID, which aims to support the Government of Jordan (GOJ) to prioritize and implement economic reforms. Through coordination with the GOJ, the Jordanian and international private sector, other donors, and Jordanian civil society, ERA TO 1 will (1) advance economic reforms, (2) strengthen the business enabling environment, (3) increase exports and local, regional, and international investments, and (4) respond to emerging priorities.
Purpose of ERA Internship:
* To expose female and male youth to ERA work
* To enhance educational experience through practical work assignments The Jordan ERA team is seeking short-term interns to support in the following areas: * Program Support Intern
* Communications Intern
* Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Intern
* Business Analysis.
* Economic Impact Assessment.
Expected work:
* Conducting research and reference searches on issues relating to areas of economic development, gender, M&E, etc.
* Compiling, processing and working with databases derived from a variety of sources
* Supporting the drafting of inputs to presentations, project documents and research papers, as well as the organization of meetings, documentation of meetings, and short reporting
* Preparing forms, filling forms accurately, and follow up on updates Surveying and preparing reports on the economic and social policy environment in the region
* Assist in other ad-hoc activities as instructed
* Macro and Micro Economic: Business, Data and Analysis. * Achieve greater accuracy in preparing and reviewing documents.
* Project workflow plans.
* Follow-up reports.
Applicant eligibility:
* Bachelor's degree in Economic, international business, Business, or any related field of study with a GPA of no less than 3.0
* Proficient in Arabic and English
* Track record in extra-curricular activities
* Unemployed.
Essential skills, abilities and knowledge:
* Familiarity with project management
* Familiarity with software related to project design and planning.
* Computer skills to include MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint, creating databases and preparing presentations.
Individual skills
* Meeting commitments, observing deadlines, achieving results
* Willing to learn, accepts feedback, and maintains a positive attitude
