Job Description

Blaster/Painter – Tank Maint. (Henderson, KY)
Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group is searching for Blaster/Painters for our Tank Maintenance Division. This is position that travels across the country painting water towers. The ideal candidates will have experience in operating and maintaining sandblasting and painting equipment and be able to work at heights and confined spaces. Job Duties: * Operate and maintain sandblaster, paint (spray or roll), scaffolding and confined space * Operating man lift/being in the man lift * Painter will typically work as part of a field crew. * Painter must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with field supervisors and other crew members * The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Qualifications: * Knowledge of sandblasting, painting, scaffolding and confined space * Knowledge of operating man lift/being in the man lift * Must follow safety rules, regulations, and safe job procedures * Dependable * Good time-management skills * Must be able to travel * Must be able to climb * Have a valid driver license and clear driving record to drive company equipment * Must have reliable transportation * Must follow safety rules, regulations, and safe job procedures * Must be able to assist in other areas on job site as needed and follow all quality procedures Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires heavy lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
