Within this work, the Regional Bureau for Arab States responds to needs across development settings including Least Developed Countries, Middle Income Countries, Net Contributor Countries and countries affected by crisis, with a view to support the building of resilience, fight climate change, leverage the promise of innovation, and prioritize the advance of women, youth and vulnerable groups as part of its commitment to the principles of universality, equality and leaving no one behind in an increasing challenging regional context which has been further impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. The HR Intern will assist UNDP Regional Hub HR department in Amman with administrative and HR-related tasks. HR intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills. HR intern will be directly reporting to the HR Analyst.
Background
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will be based in the UNDP Regional Hub in Amman office. Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to the following: * Organize, compile and update Human Resources Departments files and records, keeping them up to date for quick retrieval.
* Creating and maintaining proper filing and E-filing system for staff members’ records and HR related documents.
* In consultation with the head of the unit the Intern assists with the administration of recruitment processes. Contract termination or contract extensions.
* Assist in preparation of submissions to the Compliance Review Panel (CRP/CRB)
* Assist in Provision of background information and maintenance of the related data
* Maintenance of the staffing table

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
Applicants to the internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements under Public Administration or other relevant subjects is required. * Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
* currently in the final year of a bachelor’s degree; or
* currently enrolled in a master’s degree; or
* have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a master’s degree or equivalent studies
Experience:
* Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a multicultural team;
* Good command of information and communication technology;
Languages:
* Fluency in English and Arabic (both oral and written) is required.
Stipend
* Where an intern is not financially supported by any institution or programme, such as a university, government, foundation or scholarship programme, a stipend intended to help cover basic daily expenses related to the internship, such as meals and transportation at the duty station, must be paid by the receiving office.
* The monthly amount of the stipend will be determined for each duty station based on the stipend rates published yearly by the OHR Policy and Compensation Unit. The stipend will be paid on
