Accountabilities & Key Roles :
Risk Assessments
- Assist in the facilitation of Risk Assessment process for the Bank’s existing and new Products, activities, processes, systems, and liaise with related stakeholders in this regard.
- Follow-up with Country Risk Managers (CRMs) to ensure adherence to the RCSA plan.
- Assist in the review of Risk Assessments and RCSA reports received to ensure proper coverage, completeness, and that appropriate action is taken to maintain risks within acceptable levels.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing the consolidated annual RCSA results received from AB plc. branches
- Develop and maintain standardized risk registers as needed, and provide support to CRMs in this regard.
Governance
- Review new / updated policies and procedure documents related to Bank’s new/ updated products, activities, processes, or systems and recommend controls to mitigate operational risks.
- Maintain and publish the Bank’s high level policies for all Bank’s functions on the Bank’s intranet.
- Assist in the review of the ERM Operational Risk Management frameworks and High-level policies in addition to subsidiaries related Risk Management policies and frameworks.
General Operational Risk Management
- Review data input to the ORM system by CRMS to maintain completeness and quality of data.
- Review and provide feedback in regards to draft / issued regulations related to Operational Risk across AB plc.
- Monitor the reporting cycle and requirements with (CRMs) to ensure timely reporting, and report discrepancies where needed.
- Generate Operational risk management reports from ORM system as needed.
- Coordinate with CRMs in regards to outsourced activities reports and consolidate the received reports.
- Maintain the Operational Risk data repository and related records.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Business / Banking or any related field from a recognized university
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in Bank operations & control functions (e.g. Risk Management / Audit) in a leading financial institution or relevant area.
Competencies:
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Good understanding of the Banking business.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, PC and statistical skills.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
