We have an exciting career opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to join the Bank during this exciting time of our digital expansion. The Sustainability Manager is responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders to address the bank’s approach to environmental strategic responsibilities as well as creating and managing sustainable solutions that are better for the bank’s environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Contribute and participate with the Bank departments in the implementation of strategies to address various environmental concerns including energy use, conservation, reduction of pollution, recycling, building and facility design, and other green initiatives
2. Draft and implement sustainable organizational policies that address environmental concerns.
3. Evaluate the efficacy of sustainability programmes; recommend and implement improvements as necessary.
4. Conduct research to identify environmental and sustainability concerns, interests, and issues.
5. Develop and implement sustainable CSR programmes to ensure support of the ecosystem which includes women empowerment, persons with disabilities, education, sports, and other SDGs initiatives, in addition to engage employees in several volunteering activities.
6. Draft and prepare reports, presentations, and proposals, in addition to presents proposals and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Director, and other key stakeholders.
7. Manage and prepare the bank’s GRI based on the sustainability reporting process.
8. Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and records including budgets and other financials.
9. Write PRs and articles related to the Bank's CSR Initiatives and sustainability performance.
10. Maintain current working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all applicable local, and internal environmental laws and regulations.
11. Design and implement training/awareness sessions for employees on sustainability strategy and sustainability reporting.
12. Represent the Bank at local CSR and sustainability conferences; present the Bank's experience in sustainability reporting and strategy
13. Identify and coordinate sustainability partnerships with relevant stakeholders
14. Participate in the bank’s occupational health and safety-related matters

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Studies, Sustainable Development, or a related field.

2. Professional Sustainability related Certification in Environmental & Social Governance, and GRI Standards

3. Minimum of 5-years’ experience in a Managerial Role in the same field.

Key Competencies & Skills:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Both Arabic and English.

2. Creative problem-solving and analytical skills

3. Knowledge of the universal Sustainability best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.

4. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Presentation skills, and the ability to deliver knowledge to groups of individuals.
