Psychosocial Counselor (Amman & Aqaba)

Core Responsibilities:

Conducts a comprehensive psychosocial assessment to identify clients’ (cases) needs and needed services.

 Develops an intervention plan to achieve clients’ needs and service objectives.

Provides individual and group psychosocial support and counseling for clients (cases).

Conducting home visits to cases, schools or other parties as may be required and in accordance with approved work procedures.

 Refers the case to individuals or entities concerned with providing services to them and follow up the case on the services referred to them in coordination with the relevant departments within the program.

Reviews and evaluates the intervention process with each case and makes the necessary adjustments to the intervention plan as needed.

Follow up and keeping the database of information and details of all cases and procedures updated periodically.

Receiving calls on helpline 110 for families and children when needed and providing service according to the procedures.

Maintains the confidentiality and privacy of the information accessed.

Prepares monthly and annual reports related to the post and submit them to the direct manager

Documents all procedures of the case, follow up, documents all files, records, and reports related to the job and updates them continuously.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Psychological Counseling or any related field

- Experience in Counselling within Humanitarian organizations

- Strong knowledge & Experience of child protection, sexual and gender based violence
