The primary objective of this consultancy service is to provide strategic oversight, technical expertise, and coordination support for the ongoing development of the MOH Health Information systems (HIS) and Registry. The consultant will ensure that the development process is on track, that the system meets the set standards for effectiveness and efficiency and supports the organization in achieving its healthcare service objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Advanced degree (e.g., master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field, with a strong emphasis on IT analysis, system programming, and IT business skills
Extensive knowledge background and expertise in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health, with a specific focus on IT systems and data analysis.
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, including statistical software and qualitative analysis tools, to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including policymakers and technical experts.
Experience in collaborating with ministries of health, vendors, and stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Sound understanding of research ethics, privacy considerations, and data confidentiality, adhering to relevant guidelines and regulations.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness, respecting local norms and customs while conducting research and engaging with communities.
Ability to provide training, mentorship, and capacity-building support to enhance research skills and quality within the local health system.
Familiar with USAID policies and administrative procedures.
