CARE International in Jordan has a vacancy for the post of“ Program Manager - Economic Empowerment “:
The Economic Empowerment Program Manager is responsible for providing management and leadership for CARE Jordan's Economic Empowerment program, which includes (but are not limited to): Employment Readiness (facilitating linkages between job seekers, career counseling services, skills development institutions, and employment opportunities); Micro- and Social-Enterprise Development (supporting individuals to develop entrepreneurial competencies, access technical assistance and training, business plan development support, and coaching and mentoring services); and Financial Inclusion (increasing savings, financial education, digital literacy, providing and/or facilitating access to capital for establishing, expanding, and/or sustaining enterprises). Under the supervision of the CARE Jordan Assistant Country Director - Programs, the Economic Empowerment Program Manager is responsible for program implementation, technical support, management, and development ensuring that interventions are responsive to community needs and changing contexts. S/he is responsible for understanding the ecosystems and establishing strategic partnerships ensuring CARE Jordan takes a facilitative role whenever feasible, leveraging complementary institutional capacities within Jordan. S/he is responsible for developing annual implementation plans and budgets, allocating and overseeing resources to acheive plans, developing the technical abilities of program staff, monitoring progress, and adaptating interventions based on data. S/he establishes and maintains effective and productive working relationships with key government partners, private sector partners and NGOs working on economic empowerment. S/he should be a creative, critical thinker interested in learning and research with the goal of identifying innovative solutions to Jordan's complex economic and social challenges.
